The 2nd Leytonstone Arts Trail

This year's Arts Trail is 3 weeks long, from 27th June to 19th July. It features over 30 events including exhibitions, arts and crafts fairs, talks and workshops. With several group shows we are proud to present the work of over 100 artists and designers.

In total there are 31 events spread across 21 locations, most of which have disabled access. Full details are available on our venues page. Trail maps can be picked up from Leytonstone and Harrow Green Libraries, 491 Gallery and participating venues or downloaded.

Pick 'n' Mix

In an innovative move, Waltham Forest Council has donated Leytonstone's huge former Woolworths store for use as a temporary arts space. The result is 'Pick 'n' Mix', an exhibition by artists and curators from Leytonstone and further afield. It features over 60 works, many of which are a direct response to the site itself. We are extremely excited to be able to use a vacant shop of this size for cultural activities, and hope that it will set a wider precedent for the creative use of such spaces.

Let's fill Leytonstone with art!

Residents are encouraged to put homemade artwork in their front windows for the duration of the Trail. Anyone can take part, as long as the art you show has been made by someone in your household.

We hope you find the work on show here stimulating and enjoyable, and that it might inspire you to make more art, see more art and perhaps even take part in the trail next year!
